What is FPP?
FPP (Fermented Papaya Preparation) is a food supplement (nutraceutical) extracted from Carica Papaya, and fermented for a duration of 10 months. During this traditional Japanese fermentation process, new enzyme components are released, thereby creating new properties not present in the original fruit. The fruits are imported from contracted farmers in the United States; these are non-genetically modified carica papayas and thus contain no artificial additives nor preservatives.
FPP is a food supplement that has been available on the Japanese market for the last 20 years.
Key Elements about FPP
FPP is a protective food supplement which allows for eradication of excessive free radicals. Responsible for “oxidative stress,” this excess of free radicals becomes more common with aging due to the antioxidative system being gradually less efficient.
FPP, a fermented papaya preparation, is not a vitamin supplement. It actually does not contain any vitamins A, C or E anymore after the fermentation process and it does not treat vitamin deficiency. However, thanks to a deeper physiological action on both the antioxidative system and the immune system, FPP can ease the oxidative stress effects.
FPP enhances the antioxidative system by enhancing two of its main antioxidant enzymes, i.e. superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase.
FPP helps a deficient antioxidative system by directly destroying excessive free radicals.
FPP also enhances the immune system, that similarly decreases with age.
FPP allows “healthy aging” by protecting us from free radical attacks and against our decreasing immune system.
FPP acts like an environmental stress shield. |
